The Bavarian army was the army of the duchy, then of the kingdom of Bavaria. It was integrated into the German army (Deutsches Heer) after 1870. It kept its own unit names until the First World War.

Magnificent and very rare Bavarian artillery officer's saber recovered as is, in its original condition. Wooden handle covered in black leather, with a small lack, not serious, handle in its juice and patina to be cleaned, no play with its original strap! Blade still very beautiful in its original juice and patina with one gutter, marked with the manufacturer ''C C° & K'' on the heel and engraved on both sides: ''IN TREUE FEST''. One-ring scabbard in its own juice as well. Very beautiful and rare piece, very pleasant to hold in the hand and even more pleasant to admire in the window! Increasingly rare on sales sites highly sought after by collectors, 100% original!
