Rare and superb pair of massive and imposing candlesticks, vintage from the 40s-50s, made of wrought iron, magnificent, 4 lights, cups with candle spikes. Bases made up of 4 arched feet, body in square rods decorated with 4 curved flat rods, topped with 4 flat rods curved inward, each holding a slightly hollow round cup with a spike in its center. Very beautiful artisanal ironwork, unsigned, silver-plated metal in dark steel color, patinated by time. Very massive objects in a brutalist or medieval style. Pieces of very nice quality, highly decorative, and very rare. Imposing with their total height of 31cm and a maximum diameter of 33.5cm. They are in very good condition for their age, but do show some defects, including minor signs of oxidation on the feet and cups, quite discreet, and on one cup fairly visible but harmonious, in their original condition. The spikes show some discreet scratches. The cups are also more or less wobbly (except for 3), and one can be removed, potential repairs should be considered. Weighing between 4 and 5kg each approximately.
