Late 19th Century Weightlifter Figurine signed Bouret This magnificent sculpture, representing a Young Weightlifter or Weightlifter at rest, is an emblematic work of the French sculptor Eutrope Bouret, born in 1833 and died in 1906. Bouret exhibited at the Salon de Paris and is recognized for his figurative subjects from the late 19th century. The statue is made of spelter (an alloy based on tin) and has a very beautiful original patina. It is in generally good condition and rests on its original base.
