This is a beautiful quality portrait of a woman, beautifully crafted. Claudius LAVERGNE is an artist born in 1814 and died in 1887.  Louis-Eugène Bion, born in Paris on April 12, 1807 and died in Versailles on January 21, 1860, is a French sculptor. He married Aline-Edme Saffroy with whom he had a son, Paul-Laurent, who was also a sculptor. The work has not been restored, we must accept the various small tears, wear and lack of paint. It is warped, but remains acceptable for someone who is not picky and likes natural works. Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the oil.
