Description

Stunning wall planter in slipware, made in France around 1880–1900. A large sculpted leaf forms the base, animated by a raised blue bird, red berries, and a small beetle modeled as a signature of frozen nature. The glaze, deep and shiny, reflects the vegetal shades of French workshops from the late 19th century, balancing between a naturalistic spirit and early Art Nouveau tendencies. The piece is drilled at the back for wall hanging. Overall good condition, with a discreet old chip on one corner.
