Work by French engraver D. A. Derveaux, active in the late 19th century. Print created using drypoint and etching, hand-colored (light watercolor), in the tradition of naturalist plates from this period. Noted "D. A. Derveaux sculp." in the lower right corner (abbreviation of sculpsit, "engraved" in Latin). Condition: Generally good condition. Some micro-age spots visible only up close, with no alteration to the image. Period frame in blackened wood, showing slight signs of wear consistent with age.
