Very beautiful hand-turned stoneware box, signed (?) to be identified. Tall baluster shape on a foot, with a lovely domed lid adorned with a pointed knob. Light brown stoneware, ash glaze in shades of light khaki, with some pyrite spots. Vintage from the 50s-60s in the style of La Borne, reminiscent of certain Japanese ceramics. 20-21cm maximum height with lid, 11-12cm in diameter. Very good overall condition, noting only some wear on the tip of the lid and a small chip on the inner rim, rather discreet. Approximately 800g.
