Description
Ceramic artisan soup pot or cauldron with lid and small handles bearing the signature La chouette Hulotte at the base. Work from the workshops of Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot, at the Château de Ratilly (Yonne), a prominent place for French art ceramics. Turned and glazed ceramics, deep brown and chestnut tones, natural shades related to the firing process. Period: 1955–1965. Total width with handles: 22cm. Height: 16cm. Very good condition, no chips, cracks or restoration.
