This collectible work is attributed to the aesthetic research of Yvette Manoy (1929-2018), an emblematic figure of 20th-century Walloon ceramics. The removable lid features careful champlevé enamel work: powerful black contours isolate intense colored cells (golden yellow, cobalt blue, and turquoise), standing out against the famous milky white glaze characteristic of the Namur school. The body and base of the box are dressed in a deep black manganese glaze.

The underside reveals the artist's official monogram "YM" surmounting her mold and workshop model number "395".
