Description

Ceramic Bowl - Jacques Breugnot, Bonny-sur-Loire Factory Beautiful ceramic bowl signed by Jacques Breugnot, a ceramicist who gained recognition in the 1940s by taking over the family-run Brisdoux factory in Bonny-sur-Loire (Loiret). The dish, with a wide flared rim, rests on three golden ball feet.

Its inner decoration, of great finesse, showcases a radiant geometric composition in the shape of a multi-pointed star, where golden diamonds, finely drawn white chevrons, and almond green dots intersect, surrounding a deep green speckled central medallion.

The outer border, with a deliberately irregular granular texture, is accented by a golden line running all around, echoing the inner decor. This work perfectly corresponds to the aesthetic signature of the studio.

His work is characterized by lustrous metallic glazes (notably gold and platinum), combining technical mastery of high-fire processes and graphic refinement inherited from the Brisdoux style. Height 8.7 cm Diameter 29.5 cm L: 29.5 W: 29.5 H: 8.7
