Art Deco desk/table lamp with a swallow, gilded metal and black marble. A superb Art Deco style lamp, circa 1920-1930, elegantly combining the noble materials characteristic of this period.

It consists of a rectangular base in veined black marble, on which rises an arched foot in gilded metal (spelter) shaped like a swan's neck. The central subject, very representative of the Art Deco decorative repertoire, depicts a swallow in mid-flight, made of finely chiseled gilded metal (detailed plumage, outstretched wings), perched on a base with stylized wave patterns.

It is accompanied by a delicate metal reed/spindle with a patina of verdigris, providing a color contrast with the gilding of the bronze. The tulip-shaped shade, made of frosted glass in almond green, diffuses a soft, diffused light — a highly sought-after glass treatment for French Art Deco lighting. Notably, there is a small chip on the glass at the edge. Height 25 cm. Base dimensions 8*14 cm. Shade diameter 12.5 cm.
