Description

Iridescent gourd vase by Alphonse Cythère, in Rambervilliers Vosges.

It is a vase from the Art Deco period, around 1920.

As a ceramic engineer, he developed a metallic-luster glaze known as 'flamed stoneware of Rambervilliers' during this period favorable to the renewal of techniques.

This vase has changing reflections depending on the light and surrounding tones. To give you a more precise idea, I photographed it with different frames and exposures.

Typical of its time, it is astonishingly modern and will find its place in vintage or decidedly contemporary interiors.

It is obviously authentic and is signed under the base, see photo 10.

It measures 26 cm in height, 14 cm at its widest part, and the opening has a diameter of 4 cm.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or scratches, and hardly any signs of handling despite being a century old.

This beautiful piece weighs 1.1 kg, whereas you sometimes find pieces much smaller, between 10 and 16 cm in height.

Shipping is very protected via Chronopost Shop2shop for 6.50 euros.
