Description

Armchair in cherry wood, Louis-Philippe era around 1840. It is very sturdy, with no movement in the legs or armrests. It was recently reupholstered, so the fabric is in excellent condition, with no wear or stains. The seat is in excellent condition. It is important to mention this because it affects the value of an armchair; reupholstering and refurbishing the seat costs at least 400 euros, sometimes even 600 euros. The wood has very few marks and has not been attacked by insects; however, there are some holes at the bottom of the front left leg, which is on the right in the photos, without compromising its stability. It is odor-free, from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Of course, it has no fleas. It is a genuine Louis Philippe period piece (1830-1848).

The dimensions are: height 100 cm, width 62 cm at its widest in front of the armrests, total depth 61 cm, and the seat height is 37 cm at the front and 39 cm at the back. This high-quality armchair is quite heavy, weighing 11.8 kg, but it remains easy to move. I part with it reluctantly. It would be perfect as an accent chair because of its decorative quality.

It is about 180 years old and should be good for as long again. In the last photo, only the armchair in the middle is for sale. I believe it is intended for a bedroom or an entryway, where it would have great aesthetic appeal. Its shimmering fabric could even make it suitable for a dark place.

Shipping is impossible as the package would exceed maximum dimensions. But you, especially the residents of Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand, and Moulins, take advantage of a trip to Vichy to come see it and buy it!
