Art Deco buffet by Saddier & Fils in solid rosewood and rosewood veneer. Finished with a French polish.

Handles and hardware in solid brass. Characteristic work of F. and G. Saddier for this buffet with graduated crenelated feet and adorned with slightly raised floral motifs. Signed with the manufacturer's metal plate "Saddier et ses Fils".

Circa 1925-1930. L 110 cm X D 43 cm X H 92 cm. Interior shelves from top to bottom: L 101 X D 32 X H 39 cm / L 101 X D 37 X H 39 cm. The buffet is in very good condition, just note 2 small veneer chips on back corners (see detailed photos). Very meticulous packaging in 3 layers (see photos).

For the little history: Gaston and Fernand Saddier began in the early 1920s with their eponymous furniture factory Saddier et ses Fils, which their father had inherited. Saddier et ses Fils exhibited with its furniture at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. The company Saddier et Fils, specialized in decorative art furniture, seating, and decorations, was headquartered in Paris, at 29-31 rue des Boulets, in the Saint-Antoine district, a well-known area for cabinetmakers in Paris. An album, preserved at the Museum of Decorative Arts - 107 Rue de Rivoli 75001 Paris, presents, through six photographs, the works of Saddier, including the furniture specially designed for the Palais de la Porte Dorée - 293 Av.
