Rare, superb ceremonial pipe ornament/sleeve from Bamoun/Bamun, Foumban, Cameroon, made of handcrafted bronze using the lost-wax technique. An antique piece from the late 19th to early 20th century, possibly even earlier. The support features three stylized faces of men in a folk art style, topped with a large pierced globe resembling weaving. A very beautiful, rare, and valuable collector's item due to its history and sacred role in ceremonies. Maximum height 17.5 cm, about 12 cm maximum diameter. In very good overall condition, clean and without notable damage, slightly tilted on its base, it obviously does not come with its pipe. Weighs approximately 1.3 kg.
