The set consists of 8 painted Limoges porcelain plates, signed Redon (Martial Redon manufacture, active in Limoges from 1882 to 1896 under this name). Decoration: cream white background, with polychrome painted decoration of flowering branches (apple or cherry blossoms in pink and yellow, gilded foliage) and more discreet vegetal patterns (ferns, scattered flower stems).
The style and palette recall the Art Nouveau production of the manufacture, featuring alternating "Japanese-style" floral motifs and broadly gilded borders. Border: scalloped outline (fluted edge), highlighted with a wide gilded band. Period: late 19th – early 20th century. They are all in good condition with signs of use and age (normal wear to the gilding at the edges).
