Virgin and Child, an ancient faience figurine. Manufacture to be determined. Probably made in the tradition of Nevers faience. The piece is modeled and decorated by hand. The underside is left raw with a vent hole, typical of regional faience factories. The whole exhibits a beautiful patina and remains in good overall condition, with slight manufacturing irregularities. Height: 22 cm. Width: 9 cm. Depth: 7.5 cm. It is in very good condition, with some defects in the manufacturing: air bubble on Jesus' nose, and hair during firing, at the back of the figurine. Nice luster of the faience, no chips, no wear.
