Very elegant vintage vase made of white French porcelain, signed Porcelaines M.P. Samie – Union Limousine.

This lovely piece stands out for its delicate ornithological decoration, hand-painted. Two different birds are depicted on the sides of the vase, perched among fine branches and small berries.

The painting is particularly detailed: finely crafted plumage, natural shades of yellow, green, brown, and ochre. One of the decorations also bears the signature of the artist/decorator, visible on the porcelain.

The shape of the vase is simple and elegant, slightly wavy, allowing all the focus to be on the delicacy of the decoration.

M.P. Samie is a French porcelain house located in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, in the Limousin region, a historical area for French porcelain. The house notably has the brand Union Limousine.
