Piece from the 1920s.
An amazing object that hides a secret: a "photo eye."
(a tiny glass lens embedded in the handle, allowing you to see a photo when you press your eye against it). The photo is very sharp.
This object was a souvenir brought back from vacation. This one features a photo of a liner: the "Charles-Roux." *
Body made of Bakelite. Fountain pen in gray metal. The nib is present.
Length of the fountain pen is 16.5 cm – 18.25 cm with the nib.
Metal of the fountain pen is slightly oxidized.
* For the record: The first French turbine ship, this liner from the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique launched in 1909 connected North Africa, before being used for troop transport and then as a hospital ship during World War I, and returned to transatlantic service in 1921.
