Rare and spectacular covered candy box or jewelry box, an iconic work of art pottery from Vallauris. This piece is part of the modernist production of the 1960s-1970s.

It is attributable to the famous master potter Marius Giuge, a great specialist in volcanic glazes. The lid and the curved body display a striking "Fat Lava" decor: a flamboyant coral red and a deep black, enhanced by heavy drippings of textured white glaze, known as "sea foam."

The original label "Souvenir de Menton" beautifully emphasizes its authenticity and history.
