Description

Pretty handled tin box fully decorated with representations of the tale "Little Red Riding Hood". Each illustration also includes a small text taken from the famous story.
This is actually a tin caramel basket from the old Molié house (creator of the Krema brand, registered in 1923, which merged with Hollywood in 1955). Its origin could easily be identified thanks to the label that was originally affixed inside the lids: upon investigation, it featured a blond child in a red striped shirt, preparing to enjoy the candy, the name of the cream caramel "ELAB", the addresses of the factories in Montreuil and Vincennes, in an oval indicating "Société française des caramels et toffees". Unfortunately, these labels were often peeled off. I attempted to remove some of the added paper, but it seems that there is nothing left underneath.
A rather rare item, full of charm and history, beautifully illustrated... All that’s left is to refill it with caramels...
Molié (Krema) - Mid-1920s.
