Chair of model No. 738 from Thonet and Mundus, here stamped Thonet, obviously datable to 1920/25, naturally attributed to Otto Prutscher. I am referring to the No. 738 XI, even more typical of Prutscher, for information purposes. The only documentation, attached; that can be seen on this model comes from the book by Jiri Uhlir where he writes: "The 738 Thonet chair, which has been very successful, is still co-distributed by Thonet and Mundus. In total, 9 variants have been produced, marked by Roman numerals. Here is the basic model of Category 738" This chair appears to be in original condition, it has been little used and seems never to have been produced in number. Stamp and label.
