Nordic Splendors is a textile sculpture-painting where relief and movement are born from the magic of pleating.

Created from a repeated folding pattern, the work combines the inlay of gold threads, acrylic paint, and golden and black ribbons. The pleating sets the rhythm of the horizontal lines and brings forth abstract images, inviting a visual stroll. The undulations, plays of light, and bluish nuances evoke the contemplation of an aurora borealis — a suspended moment, luminous, colorful, and almost magical. This work suggests the fluidity of time, between tale and dream, where shapes and colors vary according to the viewer's movements and the reflections of light.
