French School of the 19th century, child's head in terra cotta, bearing an apocryphal signature in pencil, possibly a study by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (1827-1875) on the back of the neck. It measures 23 cm in height and approximately 16/17 cm in width, and is set on an unmounted and added wooden square base. Very beautiful piece.
