String shelf from the 1960s. Iconic model of the String modular system, designed in 1949 by Swedish designer Nisse Strinning. Metal frames in lacquered steel, wooden shelves, modular system: composed of metal side panels and wooden shelves that attach without tools, thanks to clever hooks. Clean design: straight lines, minimalist look, typical of Scandinavian style from the 1950s-1960s. No signature. Height 69 cm. Width 66 cm. Shelf depth 15 cm. Total depth 16.5 cm. Generally in good condition: there is slight oxidation of the metal and signs of usage and age on the wood. L: 66 W: 15 H: 69
