Pierre gire (1901-1984), alias pierre d'avesn. When he started out at 14, he worked for René Lalique for 10 years. During this period, he designed the famous "serpent" vase by Lalique as well as the "tourbillons" vase, two of the most expensive and most collected pieces of "Lalique". In 1926, he left René Lalique and created his own models . Its pieces were made by the Saint-Rémy crystal factory.
