Statue of dancer by Serge Zelikson woman with veil Art Deco M3151 This statue of dancer from the Art Deco period was created by Serge Zelikson and bears his signature. It is made of silvered bronze, it has a beautiful original silvering. Serge Zelikson (1890-1966) is a sculptor born in Polotsky (Russia). In 1912, he obtained a scholarship and went to Paris, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. Specializing in genre figures, groups, busts, bas-reliefs and contemporary figures. He exhibited his works at the Salon d’Automne, the Nationale, the Salon des Indépendants, in various Parisian Galleries and throughout France. The statue is in very good state of conservation. For those who are more picky, we would like to point out some traces of wear on the silvering, a small loss on the base at the back. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
