Small African stone mask, probably carved soapstone, Gabon/Ivory Coast early 20th century, beautifully crafted, oval shape representing a stylized, domed face, hole at the top to suspend or hang it. 15.5cm high by 9.5cm wide. White stone with brown/black patina, very good general condition, no major damage, a tiny chip of the stone at the top right (2mm) revealing the white of the stone, a few other small marks of time barely visible. About 300gr.
