Rare set of four decorative ancient papier-mâché eggs, hand-painted and varnished using a traditional Eastern European technique.

Each egg features a highly refined polychrome floral decoration, enhanced by a remarkably preserved shiny varnish, without cracks or visible restorations — an exceptional condition for pieces of this age.

Lightweight, unfilled, and non-opening, these eggs were intended for purely decorative use. The varied sizes (up to approximately 8–10 cm in diameter for the largest) allow for an elegant display in a showcase, on a shelf, or a console.
