This is a lovely asparagus set of two plates with dark purple thistles.
This is a rare Digoin barbotine and has a cute rough look to it.
The thistle pattern was popular in the Art Nouveau era so it probably dates to around 1900.

This piece is old and has crazing, staining, scratches to the rim, irregularities to the base and glaze, splashes of colour and chips to the back of the feet.
The surface is shiny with very few cutlery scratches.
Dimensions (approx) 25.7cm diameter, 3.5cm high.
