Lamp attributed to Jean-Maurice Rothschild (1902-1998), depicting a crouching page or messenger resembling a gargoyle, resting on a solid hammered metal base. The body of the character is made of resin that closely resembles wood. Made in the 1950s.
Overall good condition, with some signs of wear (see photos). The scar on the face is original and also appears on the tables of this artist.
