(Ministry of Reconstruction and Urban Planning) commissioned a group of decorators, designers and manufacturers to create a range of easily reproducible furniture in order to refurnish homes that had been destroyed during the war. René Gabriel, a 20th century French designer specializing in mass-produced furniture, was quickly selected. This table is therefore part of the emergency furniture distributed at the end of the 1940s. It has been completely renovated, sanded and then refinished.
