Napoleon III inkwell, Empire style. It is made of solid green crystal. Each side is decorated with a gilded bronze scene and represents the Art of drawing or the Art of sculpture. The front and back sides represent a heraldic figure with palms and an eaglet. The gilded brass lid is in the shape of a ball with a woman drawing. The lid is separate from the inkwell. A slight weld could bring them together. By placing the lid on top of the inkwell, you cannot see the defect even if it is there. Height: 9 cm. Container: 6 cm on each side.
