Beige porcelain, calligraphed with stamped blue characters, "Epitaph", vintage, this is a reproduction in Qing style, likely made between the 1950s and 1970s, in the spirit of pieces from the Qing imperial dynasty, with a so-called "Shunzhi" mark (apocryphal, for decorative purposes), marked æ¸…é †æ²»å¹´è£½ "Dà QÄ«ng Shùnzhì Nián Zhì" "Great Qing Dynasty Reign name of Emperor Shunzhi (1644–1661) made during the year of the dog", later production. Lobed tray, 26.5cm maximum length, 22cm maximum width, 4cm height. Teapot with brass or gilded bronze handle, as well as bands at the neck, rim of the lid and base, 17cm maximum height without the handle, 23cm with it, about 13cm in diameter, cylindrical shape, approximately 18cm maximum width with spout, large capacity. 5 small hexagonal cups, 5cm height, 6.5cm maximum width/diameter. Very good overall condition, visible use but no accidents. Natural fine cracking and tint due to tea, particularly in the cups, wear on the metal of the teapot, tarnishing oxidation on the bands, but the handle is clean, polished by use nonetheless. Approximately 2,500-3kg for the whole set.
