Stunning pair of covered cassolettes in the Médicis shape made of Paris porcelain, circa 1830. These elegant vases rest on a square gilt base, topped with a circular pedestal. The body is richly enhanced with fine gold and decorated with reserve cartouches featuring delicate floral bouquets. Each vase presents two different cartouches, making a total of four compositions symbolizing the four seasons. The side handles are stylized and finely gilded. The lids are topped with a pine cone finial, a symbol of abundance. The painting quality is remarkable: the bouquets are finely drawn, with fresh and bright colors.
