Stunning pair of covered cassolettes in the Médicis shape made of Paris porcelain, circa 1830. These elegant vases rest on a square gilt base, topped with a circular pedestal. The body is richly enhanced with fine gold and decorated with reserve cartouches featuring delicate floral bouquets. Each vase presents two different cartouches, making a total of four compositions symbolizing the four seasons. The side handles are stylized and finely gilded. The lids are topped with a pine cone finial, a symbol of abundance. The painting quality is remarkable: the bouquets are finely drawn, with fresh and bright colors. Dimensions: Base: 9 x 9 cm (3.5” x 3.5”) Height without lid: 26 cm (10.2”) Height with lid: 31.5 cm (12”) Condition: Gilding in good general condition Paintings in very nice condition A chip on the edge of one lid A restored pine cone Two previously re-glued handles (one on each vase) The restorations are stable and do not alter the decorative presentation.
