Complete duo of sauce boats, jam pots... ceramic tableware from Portugal, crafted in a trompe-l'œil style resembling artichokes in the naturalistic spirit of Bordallo Pinheiro.
This set includes 2 sauce boats with notches, 2 lids, 2 saucers, and 2 spoons (8 pieces in total), made of glossy glazed ceramic with sculpted relief.
The diameters are 18 cm for the plate, 12 cm for the artichoke, and a total height of 12 cm.
The impressed mark "860 MADE IN PORTUGAL" on the underside of one of the sauce boats confirms the origin of the set, characteristic of the naturalistic majolica pottery tradition of Caldas da Rainha (circa 1970–1990).
The set is in very good condition, except for a small chip under the edge of one plate, which is concealed when placed.
