Pair of Art Nouveau frames. Typical stylized and wavy plant decoration.

Pieces from the late 19th - early 20th century, produced in Algeria when it was referred to as "French."

Composition of each frame (all original):
- Wood and resin-stucco frame, very worked, with a double border in ivory tone and central carved decoration in tawny brown
- Glass
- Complex mat, very worked: with beautiful depth (7-8 mm), with a gilded bevel, and lined with brown paper, itself engraved with a double oval
- Black and white photo in a medallion, with the background reworked with watercolor
- Medallion background surrounding the photo, engraving on paper of a Napoleon III style border pattern

- Inside frame 36 x 28.5
- Oval view with mat 24 x 17

Condition: except for damaged edges in several places: very good overall condition.
