Pretty chest or box in lightly patinated green wood dating from the 1930s. This is an old transport crate from the Mont Blanc brand. Under the paint, the original markings can still be discerned: "MB 400," "48 boxes," and the location of the nascent company: "Rumilly (Hte-Savoie)." The rest is very difficult to read. The paint is therefore not original but remains relatively old. This box has been sanded on the surface and then protected with a satin clear varnish. All the metal fittings are original and have been desoxidized. Two handles on the sides make it easily transportable. The inner bottom, which was covered with a lining, is marked with black stains, too ingrained to be removed, but overall it is sound (no mold). Full of charm, perfect for a beautiful industrial or vintage country touch.
