Delivery service: Colissimo General condition good, see photo Henri Dreyfus-Lemaître (1859 – 1946) Born in Amiens, Henri Dreyfus-Lemaître is associated with the post-impressionist movement. His studio in Frépillon, adjacent to Auvers-sur-Oise, allowed him to exchange ideas with the great masters of the city. Among his friends were Émile Bernard, Émile Schuffeneker, and Paul Gauguin during his time in Pont-Aven. He is a member of the Salon d'Automne and participated in the Salon des Indépendants. His particular use of pointillism, a theory founded by Georges Seurat, reveals a perfect mastery of the juxtaposition of complementary colors, making him an unjustly lesser-known painter. Close to divisionist painters, notably Maximilien Luce and Lucien Pissarro, he is also deeply influenced by impressionist theories, often choosing naturalistic subjects, and he consistently strove to work from life en plein air.
