LOUIS XVI CLOCK BRONZE AND MARBLE COLUMNS DRAPE LACAILLE PARIS H3834 This Louis XVI period clock is from the end of the 18th century. It bears the inscription "Lacaille in Paris". It has four columns, two in bronze on the front, two ornate marble columns on the back, a drapery with rich ornamentation, a frieze on the bottom, fire pots on the top. The bronzes are original with a nice gilding. Sold with its sun pendulum and its key. For the state, note wear, friction and scratches. A crack in the lower frieze, shocks and jumps on the enamel (at 4 p.m. and at 8 p.m.). We report small stains in places, verdigris and pitting. The columns move and a small golden button is missing at the top left. However, as you can see the condition of this clock is largely acceptable for the time. The mechanism seems to have been restored, we are not specialists, we do not guarantee its proper functioning. This clock is sold as is, unrevised, uncleaned, untested. For the state thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description.
