Art Deco dining room set by Saddier & Sons in solid wood and rosewood veneer, comprising an extending table (2 extensions) and its six matching chairs. Circa 1925-1930. Tampo varnished.

The upholstery and padding of the 6 cushions have been completely redone. Characteristic work of F. and G. Saddier for this table and chairs with fluted degraded legs. Folded table without extensions: 120 X 105 X H 74 cm. Table with 1 extension: 160 X 105 X H 74 cm. Table with 2 extensions: 200 X 105 X H 74 cm / extensions 104 X 39.5 cm. Height under the apron 63 cm. Chairs: L 47 X D 42 X H 80 cm / seat height 48 cm. For the little history: Gaston and Fernand Saddier started in the early 1920s with their eponymous furniture factory Saddier & Sons, which their father had inherited.

Saddier & Sons exhibited its furniture at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. The company Saddier & Sons, specializing in art furniture, seating, and decorations, was headquartered in Paris, at 29-31 rue des Boulets, in the Saint-Antoine district, a well-known area for cabinetmakers in Paris. An album, preserved at the Museum of Decorative Arts - 107 Rue de Rivoli 75001 Paris, presents, through six photographs, the creations of the Saddier company, including furniture specially designed for the Palais de la Porte Dorée - 293 Av.
