Jean DIEUZAIDE (1921–2003) Original lithograph signed and numbered - 1970s Superb original lithograph by Jean Dieuzaide, signed lower right "JEAN" and numbered 10/50. This rare work, printed in only 50 copies, dates from the 1970s, a period during which Dieuzaide explores graphic and lithographic creation alongside his photographic work. The composition, inspired by a septaria (a mineral with characteristic shapes and cracks), transcends simple naturalistic representation: it becomes a poetic and organic abstraction, where the photographer transposes his light-seeking gaze into a more liberated plastic language. The balance of masses, subtle contrasts, and tension of lines give this work a meditative strength typical of Dieuzaide's sensitivity. • Artist: Jean Dieuzaide (1921–2003) • Title: Abstract Composition • Technique: Original lithograph on paper • Edition: 10/50 • Signature: Signed "JEAN Dieuzaide" lower right • Era: 1970s • Dimensions: 65 × 50 cm • Condition: Very good condition, slight patina of time ⸻ Jean Dieuzaide Jean Dieuzaide, born in Grenade-sur-Garonne in 1921 and passed away in Toulouse in 2003, is primarily known as one of the great French humanist photographers. Winner of the Niépce Prize (1955) and the Nadar Prize (1961), he captured the faces of Salvador Dalí, Picasso, and many anonymous individuals from the South-West. From the late 1960s, Dieuzaide undertook a more formal exploration of structures, materials, and natural forms. This approach led him to create several lithographic series, where he transposes his photographic vision into refined abstractions. His lithographs, often printed in small series, are today highly sought after for the quality of their composition and their rarity. They testify to a unique moment in his career, where he crossed over from photographic realism to an independent plastic writing, bridging mineral and light Recommended Products Provided by Very Beautiful Lithograph Signed Anthoni Cumella 1974 Abstract abstraction View product Beautiful Lithograph Anthoni Cumella A Jean Dieuzaide 1974 Abstract abstraction View product Beautiful Painting GEORGES CLAIREFOND Oil Panel 1970 abstract abstraction Art View product Style: 1970 Genre: Expressionism Features: On Paper Theme: Abstract Country of origin: France
