Description

Lithograph by Jean-Julien Lemordant Bretonne aged 1933 counter-signed L1047. Here is a work by Lemordant, counter-signed at the bottom. Jean-Julien Lemordant (1878-1968) is a French painter and engraver. A painter of Brittany and the sea, he has sometimes been referred to as a " Breton fauvist," although he primarily worked in Paris. His very colorful palette is one of his main qualities, and he expertly represents the movements of people, dances, but also those of the sea, wind, and rain. His main work remains the large decoration commissioned by the mayor of Rennes, Jean Janvier, to adorn the ceiling of the theater, now an opera house. The work is in generally good condition, we note some bumped corners. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the condition, please refer to the detailed photos. Feel free to zoom in. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Height: 20.9 cm Width: 14.9 cm I remain at your disposal for any questions.
