This elegant two-piece set includes its matching pitcher and basin, finely decorated in the “Rouen” pattern, typical of 19th-century French faience. The hand-painted decoration combines floral motifs, scrolls, and arabesques in rich tones of deep blue, yellow, and green, with subtle gilded details. A fine example of the high-quality craftsmanship from the Jules Vieillard & Cie factory in Bordeaux. The set is in good antique condition. Note: the basin shows an old repair with 19th-century metal staples, a rare and traditional restoration method of the period — part of the charm and authenticity of this piece.
