Description

Beautiful large antique plate in faience, decorated with an elegant blue floral pattern created by transfer printing.

The decor, particularly refined, features large bouquets of flowers arranged all around the rim, in a style typical of European productions from the late 19th century / early 20th century.

The back bears an old brand printed in blue, now partially faded. This attests to the age of the piece, but unfortunately, it is no longer sufficiently legible to confidently attribute the plate to a specific manufacturer.

The faience exhibits a lovely patina of time, with a network of old cracks in the glaze and a particularly decorative natural beige coloration. These signs of age give it a lot of character and a true "countryside chic" / old French house aesthetic.

Dimensions: diameter 29 cm.

Old condition with normal signs of age, patina, visible cracks, and glaze coloration shown in the photographs. No apparent restoration visible in the photos.

A very beautiful piece to use as a serving platter, wall decoration, or collectible item, perfect in a vintage, shabby chic, cottage, or country house interior.

Estimated dating: late 19th – early 20th century, around 1880–1910.
