Worldwide sale. 19th century Virgin, Louis Philippe period. Large Virgin, 34 cm, mounted on the world map and crushing the snake. It rests on a beautifully decorated base bearing the inscription: AM for Ave Maria. The gilding is worn but the inscription is still clearly visible. The hands are present, in perfect condition. Under the base, a hollow mark: 3 PAL. It is painted in fine gold with, as is often the case, a little wear. Very good condition. Height: 34 cm by 14 cm wide from the base. Beautiful authentic virgin to collect or to offer.
