Serving platter from the Arabia factory in Finland. Pattern: Kosmos. Gog (for designer Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist). Manufactured between 1962 and 1969. Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist designed the Kosmos series in 1962 based on the Arabian "S" ceramic shape, which had been designed only a few years earlier by Ulla Procope. This hand-painted pattern was introduced in 1962 and lasted approximately four years. Grönqvist spent her entire career at Arabia after graduating from the Aalto University School of Arts and Design (now the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, renamed in 1972 in honor of alumnus and renowned designer Aalvor Aalto).
