Toilet basin, in Iron Earth, from the H. Boulenger earthenware factory, “Montespan” model. Favorite of Louis XIV, the Marquise de Montespan is a figure of the reign of the Sun King. The symbolism is strong around this magnificent piece since I found it in its native land. Very pretty earthenware with a red floral pattern.
