Nice pair of decorative ceramics. Modeled on the andirons in the collection of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. An interesting theme symbolizing the duality between two traditionally opposed animals. They may embody the idea of the coexistence of opposites, or a form of domestic harmony. These decorative objects are in good condition with some very slight signs of use. An inscription below ' registered model jc 'A rod at the back will eventually allow them to be hung.
