Admitted in 1892 to the School of Fine Arts in Lyon where he exhibited since 1896 landscapes and scenes taken at the theater or at fairgrounds. He obtained in Lyon in 1901 a medal with "Jardin du Luxembourg" and "le Chardonnet"
